2017 Summer Junior Tennis Program – Registration now open

The NWTC Junior Program provides young players, ages 4 to 18, with the opportunity to learn the game of tennis in a fun and friendly environment. Based on age and ability, fun drills and games are used to learn fundamentals and/or continue to develop existing skills. The camp is directed by our Club Pro, Shelley Roxburgh. http://www.nwtennis.com/about/shelley

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP

In addition to the Summer Junior Program, our club encourages junior membership. To that end, the club has made some bylaw changes to make it more affordable than ever for juniors to join. This is of particular interest to those juniors of non-playing
parents.

Under these bylaw changes, the initiation fee ($150) for the junior member is waived. Juniors can join with an annual fee of $95, and their parents need only join with a nonplaying membership fee of $60. Juniors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while at the club and may play during non-primetime hours (prime time hours are designated as weekdays after 5 pm and weekends after 12 noon, or as otherwise indicated by social and competition events shown in the calendar).

In special cases, some juniors (who have been assessed by the club pro/and or executive members to be of the right age, maturity, and playing ability) may merit “Intermediate” status allowing them to play with adults during prime-time hours. “Intermediate” juniors will have regular member access.

We want to promote tennis as a sport for life. Introducing the youth of our community to our tennis club will provide them the opportunity to meet friends, and learn a sport that is as much social as it is physical.

For more information about our junior membership, please visit our website at www.nwtennis/about/membership.
